Comin' at ya with another fully loaded newsletter!! It's a busy time of year, and we have much to share with our loyal readers.

A big thank-you to Chilkoot Lager, Unitech, RUSH FM and the Capital Hotel (of course, in cooperation with Triple J's) for the wildly successful "Chilkoot Lager Twist Off". This battle of the DJs took place at the Capital Hotel on Saturday, November 19, 2005. The crowd was ripe, and the DJs pulled off what can only be described as one of the best throw downs in Capital history. The bar was bursting at its seams! We had seven DJs compete: Moses, DJ Nemo, Synapse, Elixir, DJ Dirty D, DJ Jonny Gel and DJ Johnny Fantastic. The evening was emcee'd by the one, the only, DJKJ (who also our headlining act)! Judges included ODJ, DJKJ and Darcy (the Yukon Brewing Co. rep). It was a phenomenal evening had by all, as demonstrated by the spillage of the dancefloor into the seating arena! Many have called it the single best Saturday night in Capital history! DJ Nemo won FIRST PLACE, and DJ JONNY GEL was a close second. Honourable mentions go out to Synapse! Prizes included SHURE needles, hoodies, t-shirts, gift certificates and of course, respect and street credit!! Props out to all of our audience members for creating such an amazing vibe! Don't forget to come out every Saturday and support our striving DJs. Thanks also to What's Up, Yukon? for that killer 2-page spread! As a result of the exposure in your zine, CBC TV interviewed Jordi, Kevin Jack (DJKJ), Jon Gelinas (DJ Jonny Gel) and Galen Ashley (DJ Nemo) this morning (Friday, November 25th) and we will be featured in tonight's CBC newscast at 6:30 pm, Channel 10. Get your VCR's ready....

The gravy train doesn't stop there, people - on THURSDAY, DECEMBER 22 (aka Jordi's Birthday!!!!) we have THE DARKEST NIGHT! This next installment of metal and punk will feature NEMESIS, DRIFTING, FRIEND CALLED FIVE, DEATH IN VENICE and STANDARD DEVIATION! And if you're still ready for more....the biggest bash of the year is going to happen NEW YEAR'S EVE - it's the Chilkoot Lager Clash of the Titans. That's right....it's the Battle of the Bands you've all been waiting for. Chilkoot Lager, Triple J's, Frostbite Music Festival, Rush FM and Rainbow Studios are pulling out all the stops....not only will there be a battle of the bands, but we've got some local heavy hitters also planning to rock your world, Whitehorse style! Midnight buffet, Chilkoot Lager Cheers at Midnight, prizes galore. This is a licensed event, which means 19+! Tickets will be on sale soon, and more details to follow!

For those more interested in the electro scene, Steve-e-Wunda is returning home to join DJKJ for a wonderful evening at the Capital. Tickets are $10. Contact the Cap for more info!!

All you diehard metal fans will be happy to know NEMESIS is back at the Capital on Tuesday nights. Frozen Bones plays Tuesday through Friday. DJKJ and guest DJs on Saturdays, Synapse and Dirty D rock the decks on Sunday, and lastly, but not least, 3JDJ plays requests and the best of all genres all night long - Monday nights!

STANDARD DEVIATION, a new collaborative cd release from Denis Lacroix and friends is on sale now for $12.00 at Triple J's. This punk-alicious cd is worth every frikkin' penny, and it's totally rockin' our worlds!!! Three thumbs up! Stay tuned for a cd release in-store this December! Welcome home GISLI!!!!

Over the course of the next two weeks, Triple J's will be receiving all of their Christmas inventory. We've got our "Dear Santa: This Is My Christmas Wish List" forms back in stock! This is a great way to let your parents know what you realllllly want for Christmas! For those truly "Triple J" folk, we've got more Triple J hoodies and t-shirts in stock - all sizes - plus a replenished supply of gift certificates!
