The BIGGEST event of the summer, if not the entire year, is the Second Annual Summer Music Festival in Whitehorse: SUNSTROKE! That's right folks, we're back with the second edition of the wildly popular Sunstroke Music Festival at Shipyards Park on FRIDAY, JUNE 22nd. Triple J's Music is working in conjunction with many organizations, including the French Association of Yukon (who are producing St. Jean Baptiste Day festivities on Saturday, June 23) to bring OUR community the finest in local and out-of-town acts, spanning all genres! Stay tuned for more details on this weekend-long festival, as we're gonna bring it twice as hard this year! For more information on how to get involved, please contact Triple J's!
This Wednesday, April 18, at 7:00 pm, at the Whitehorse Public Library, Bill Polonsky is presenting the second in a series of independent films produced to question the official story of what happened September 11, 2001. 9/11 Mysteries part 1: Demolitions. This film sets out to question the official story in its assertion that the impact of jets and burning kerosene plus the force of gravity was enough to collapse 110 stories, each an acre in size in about 9 seconds, and in that time pulverize 90 thousand pounds of concrete into fine powder, and chop 65 miles of construction steel into short pieces. Using video and audio captured on the day, 9/11 Mysteries sets out a solid case for controlled demolition. For more information, please email Bill Polonsky at strangethingsdone@hotmail.com Film series in brief can be viewed at http://strangethingsdone.com/911filmseries.htm Copies of the film will be available for a small donation to cover materials. Hope to see you there!

Triple J's is now a proud member of the Recycling Club - kids can bring in recycling to earn points, and redeem those points on merchandise in our store. Yet another green initiative to help our community!!
On another note, we are very sad that Whitehorse is losing one of its influential, indepedent long-time music stores (Rose Music) this summer, so remember - your dollar counts! You must support small business, because it exists to support you! Know where your dollar is going!! Large franchises do not produce local music events, nor support a variety of youth initiatives! Make your dollar matter!
For any information on music or events, or if you have suggestions on how we can better serve you, (or if you do not wish to receive our newsletters in the future), please do not hestitate to contact us! Your opinion matters to us!
Thanks for reading,
