Sunstroke is celebrating its fourth year as an annual Humane Society Fundraiser on Friday, June 26, 2009 at Shipyards Park.  Sunstroke is the single largest 1-day fundraiser for the animals at the Mae Bachur Animal Shelter.  From noon until midnight, Sunstroke will host 15 bands from the Yukon and across Canada.  Our programming boasts a large variety of musical genres, so as to appeal to every demographic.  Kids 12 and under are free!  Other fun festivities include free animal balloons, face painting, beer gardens, and a variety of local food and craft vendors.  Sunstroke is the kickoff event to Solstice Festival, which is brought to you by Triple J’s Music, l’Association franco-yukonnaise and the Whitehorse Heritage Festival Society.
